KADUNA – The Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board said on Wednesday that it has secured befitting accommodation in Saudi Arabia for 2014 pilgrims from the state.
The Executive Secretary of the board, Malam Kabir Kassim, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Kaduna that the gesture was to reduce the hardship faced by pilgrims in Makkah and Madina.
Kabir explained that the accommodation in Makka was secured very close to the Holy Mosque, to make it easier for the pilgrims to observe their religious obligations.
According to him, Gov. Muktar Yero had last week paid a personal visit to Saudi Arabia to assess the accommodation arrangement, and had expressed satisfaction with the effort of the board.
The scribe also disclosed that this year’s enlightenment exercise for intending pilgrims from the 23 local government areas of the state would be unified to enable them understand the Hajj rites better.
He assured intending pilgrims from the state of the board’s resolve to ensure their comfort throughout the exercise.
Kabir urged them to resolve to be patriotic and law abiding while in the Holy Land. (NAN)
