Kaduna State enters bilateral agreement with Saudi Arabia on Qur’anic science

Makkah, (Saudi Arabia) – Kaduna State Standing Committee on Quránic Recitation has entered an agreement with Majamu’ul Da’awa Foundation in the area of Quránic Science and deeper knowledge of the Holy Qurán.

The foundation which is under the leadership of Sheikh Abdulrahman Sudais, Chief Imam of Masjidul Haram Makkah, Saudi Arabia , entered the agreement with the Kaduna State College of Qur’anic Science .

The director in charge of recitation at the foundation, Sheikh Ahmad Ibn Abdallah made this known in Makkah, when the Committee on Qur’anic Recitation Competition paid him a courtesy visit on Wednesday.

Sheikh Ahmad assured that the institution is always ready to welcome initiatives that will improve and groom young students’ knowledge in the field of Qur’anic science.

The director promised to extend the partnership to Madinah and Ummul Qura university Makkah in order to build strong relationships with Nigeria in developing religious knowledge and Qur’anic science as well as Qira’at (recitations).

The cleric, who is also the Vice chancellor of Ummul Qura University Makkah and the Director in charge of recitation at the Majamu’ul Da’awa foundation, said that it has Qur’anic Recitations recordings of top scholars.

He further said that such recordings have been distributed widely , adding that two out of four of the scholars are Nigerians and they include Sheikh Muhammad Idris Alfulati and Dr Umar Alhausawi.

The Director commended Nigerians for their efforts and commitment in the area of Qur’anic science recitation.

“What we study here for four years, Nigerians use two years to accomplish that and it is a great development and blessings from Allah ” , he said.

Sheikh Ahmad also promised to attend the forthcoming Qur’anic Recitation Competition in Kaduna later in the year if invited.

Earlier, the Chairman, Kaduna state standing committee on Qur’anic recitation competition, Dr Bello AbdulQadir, Salanken Zazzau, reiterated the comitment of the College of Qur’anic Science Kinkinau,Kaduna to sponsor its students to further their studies in Makkah on Qur’anic science and Qira’at( recitation).

Dr AbdulQadir who led the delegation, said that ‘’it would also assist our college to open a section for adults who have interest of memorizing the Qur’an ” he said

He further reiterated that as soon as arrangements has been concluded , they will ensure that more student benefits to widen their Qur’anic knowledge.

According to him, Malam AbdurRahman Salis, the award-winning student from Kaduna can come over to study in Saudi Arabia for the period of six months, depending on the final agreement.

“Even Makkah students can also come over to Nigeria and benefits in various area of Islamic knowledge, ‘’ he added.

Dr AbdulQadir prayed that the partnership agreement should succeed ,because kaduna state is the first to have a centre for Qur’anic science recitations.
On his part, the Overseer of Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Imam Hussaini Tsoho pledged to continue to support the development of Qur’anic recitation to ensure that many people develop their Qur’anic knowledge.

NAN reports that members of the Kaduna state standing committee on Qur’anic Recitation entourage include, Malam Khamis Ibrahim, Director Religious Affairs Bureau of Inter faith (BOIF) and Mal Tahir Baba Ibrahim, Coordinator.
