Kano-The new Commissioner of Police (CP) in Kano State, Mr Ibrahim Idris , on Friday, called on residents of Kano State to support the police to ensure the protection of lives and property.
He made the call when he paid a courtesy visit to Gov. Rabiu Kwankwaso at the Governemnt House, Kano.
He said the cooperation of all stakeholders was needed to maintain peace in the state and rid it of criminals.

The commissioner said he would work effectively with sister agencies and other para military outfits to ensure better policing in the state.
Idris also urged residents to be law abiding, and advised them to shun acts that could compromise the security of the state.
Responding, Kwankwaso assured the commissioner of his readiness to work with him to ensure peace in the state. (NAN)
