Kano (Kano State) – Kano State Government has approved N46 million for the training of 72 youths in automobile at the Peugeot Automobile Nigeria (PAN), Kaduna.
The state commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, announced this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting in Kano on Thursday.
He said that the youths were selected from the 44 Local Government Areas of the state in order to improve their businesses.
Garba said the council had also approved N117 million for the supply and installation of basic medical equipment at the rehabilitated medical structures at Rano, Marmara, Bichi, Danbatta and Dawakin Tofa local government areas.
According to him, the council also approved N13million for the rehabilitation of 35 km shelter belt at Garko, Ajingi and Takai local government areas.
“The council also approved N23 million for the renovation of Shari’ah Court located at Jaba in Fagge Local Government Area.
“The council approved N3 million for the procurement of boarding facilities at Chinese and French colleges at Kwankwaso and Madobi Local Government Areas’’, he said.
He added that council approved the release of N633,000 as reimbursement for the state’s team to participate at the 23rd PANAMA West African Taekwando open championship.

He emphasised government’s determination to develop infrastructure in the state as part of the initiatives to improve the welfare of the people. (NAN)
