KANO – The Kano State office of the Legal Aid Council said it received 20 cases from aggrieved persons in May.
The State Coordinator of the council, Alhaji Abubakar Umar, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Monday.

He said that out of the total number, three were criminal cases, while the remaining 17 were civil cases.
He explained that the council had received 66 complaints from January to May this year, adding: ‘’Out of these cases, 35 were criminal cases while 31 are civil cases.”
‘’In civil cases, the council had resolved issues between disputing persons and groups. It resolved 17 cases,’’ the coordinator said.
Umar said that cases handled by the council were on inheritance, marriage, debts and land disputes. (NAN)
