Kano – A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State, Alhaji Musa Danbirni, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts at uniting the country.
Danbirni made the commendation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Kano to mark the one year anniversary of the Buhari Administration.
“The President deserves to be commended for these efforts.
“This is a good omen for democracy at a time when agents of disunity are working round-the-clock to destabilise the country,” he said.
Danbirni said Nigerians had been made to have a sense of belonging under the present democratic dispensation.
“It is also an undisputable fact that President Buhari has carved a niche for himself in addressing the security challenges bedeviling the country.
“In addition, he has been able to tackle corruption with all the commitment and seriousness it deserves,” the PDP chieftain said.
On the current harsh economic situation in the country, the PDP chieftain called for immediate palliative measures to cushion the effects of the recent fuel price increase.
Danbirni, then, commended Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, for his efforts at completing all projects initiated by the former administration of Gov. Rabi’u Kwankwaso within the last one year. (NAN)
