KANO – The Kano State Government has directed all schools in the state to re-open on Sept., 22.
The Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Tajudeen Gambo, who made the announcement on Friday in Kano while addressing newsmen, urged parents to send their children and wards to school.
He said that the ministry had put in place necessary measures to ensure that children did not contract any disease.
“We have trained at least 3 staff from all the schools to make sure that any child with any symptom of any sickness is traced and treated immediately,’’ he said.
The commissioner added that the ministry had also provided the schools with liquid soap to ensure that students wash their hands. [eap_ad_2] “We have set up a committee to monitor the schools to ensure that all the measures taken are implemented,” he said.
Gambo stated that the heads of schools had been provided with the telephone numbers of members of the committee for easy contact when the need arises.
“We instructed the schools management to organise special prayer session for a peaceful and healthy environment,’’ he said.
The commissioner called on parents to ensure that their children washed their hands regularly to avoid contracting any disease. (NAN)[eap_ad_3]
