Abuja – Barr. Goddy Uwazurike, Ohanaeze Ndigbo legal representative to trial of detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has cried out over the unusual presence of operatives at Federal High Abuja, where trial resumed this morning, October 21, 2021.

This, according to eminent lawyer, raises doubt about the possibility of Kanu getting a fair trial.

Uwazurike told News Express: “I am in front of the now. 100s of lawyers are outside. DSS and police and NSDC have mounted a heavy at the gate, on adjoining roads etc. The security men are insisting on screening those who will enter. The press is also outside. The intimidating atmosphere is suffocating.

“Can there be a fair trial under this situation?”
