KATSINA- The Speaker, Katsina State House of Assembly, Alhaji Nasir Yahaya-Daura, has advocated for more collaborative efforts among stakeholders to address the lingering insecurity in the state.
The speaker made the advocacy in a statement issued on Monday in Katsina by his Chief Press Secretary, Aminu Magaji, while congratulating the residents on the 37th anniversary of the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Katsina was created by the former Nigeria’s leader, rtd. Gen. Ibrahim Babangida on Sept. 23, 1987.
“I urge all citizens to join hands with the government and intensify prayers to end banditry and other forms of insecurity.

Yahaya-Daura acknowledged the significant progress made by the state since its creation, citing notable achievements in infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and economic growth.
According to the speaker, “The last 37 years have been a testament to the resilience and determination of our people.
“We have come a long way, and it’s essential to recognise the contributions of our founding fathers and leaders who have shaped our state’s history.”
Yahaya reassured the citizens that the state house of assembly remained committed to enacting laws that would promote unity, peace, and prosperity.
He pointed out that his call to action underscored the collective responsibility to drive progress and ensure a brighter future for generations to come. (NAN)
