A 50-year-old woman, Yar’ Baba Yusuf Babangida, today died in Katsina while queuing to vote in the governorship and State House of Assembly elections held on Saturday.
The deceased who is a widow, was said to be on queue at Kofar gidan Hamisu polling unit of Makera ward in Funtua local government area of Katsina State when she suddenly slumped.
She was immediately rushed to Funtua General Hospital where health personnel certified her dead.

A resident who joined in taking her to the hospital said, “We were told that she had already died even before we rushed her to the hospital.”
