Katsina Deputy governor urges Muslims to intensify prayers over insecurity

Katsina state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, has enjoined Muslims to commit themselves to even after the Eid-el-Kabir period.

The deputy governor, who made made the call in an interview the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) shortly after the Eid prayers Tuesday in Katsina, said the current required complete dedication to contain.

Yakubu noted that prayer was a shield to everyone against any evil in the state, hence the need for Muslims in the state and the country in general, redouble efforts.

He said that the present security situation in the country, especially in the North, required continued prayers for divine intervention to get the country out of the situation.

Yakubu explained that at all levels were doing their best to improve the lots of the , and therefore needed to continue the good work.
