Katsina – Katsina State Government on Thursday said it would construct 700,000 housing units under Private Partnership Programme (PPP).
Alhaji Tusiu Dandagoro, the Commissioner for Works and Housing in the state, disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen in Katsina.
“Already, some private developers have approached the state government for the housing project.
“After completion, the state government will allocate the houses to interested persons on owner-occupier system.
“The contractors will be allowed to collect payment from beneficiaries, which will spread for 25 years,” he said.
On the housing projects executed by the past administration, the commissioner said 20 houses were retrieved from allottees for failing to fulfil conditions stated in the allocation letters. (NAN)
