KEBBI (Sundiata Post) – Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has dispatched a high-level delegation to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, to address the rising threat of a new Islamic sect, Lakurawa, whose recent attacks have claimed 15 lives in the state.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ahmed Idris, the delegation led by former Kebbi Governor and Minister of Economic Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, included Sen. Bala Ibn Na’Allah, APC National Organising Secretary Alhaji Suleiman Argungu, and former Commissioner of Justice and Attorney General of the State, Barrister Nasiru Junju.
During the visit, the minister emphasized the urgency of military intervention to end the security crisis impacting both Kebbi and the wider region.
He expressed gratitude to the military and security agencies for their ongoing support in addressing the state’s challenges.
In response, General Musa assured the delegation that the military is prepared to act swiftly, pledging collaboration with other security agencies to protect the state and bring the perpetrators to justice.
