Birnin Kebbi – Kebbi Government is set to partner with “Ten Million Adolescent Girl-Child”
project, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), to improve girl-child education in the state.
The state Governor, Atiku Bagudu, announced the partnership when he received a team of the NGO in his office in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.
Bagudu said “we are going to partner with you to improve the enrollment and education of female children in the state.”
The governor called on stakeholders in education to intensify efforts in their responsibilities to achieve the desired objectives.
Earlier, the Leader of the project, Alhaji Mansur Nasir, said the group was in the state to gather information on girl-child education.
He added that “the aim of the project is to find out challenges facing girl-child education and to find lasting solutions to the problems.”
Members of the project comprised of experts from health, education and environment, among others.
