BIRNIN KEBBI – The Chairman of the NLC in Kebbi State, Mr Murtala Usman, has demanded for the payment of outstanding benefits to serving and retired civil servants in the state for improved service delivery.
Usman made the demand while addressing members as part of the 2015 workers day celebration that involved visits to the state orphanage, VVF centre, prisons and Federal Medical Centre.
He said that dialogue with authorities would be adopted in ensuring that workers benefits were promptly settled.
Usman said that the newly elected NLC leaders in the state would ensure that benefits owed to the workers were paid promptly through the use of dialogue and positive engagement with the authorities.

He appealed to members to sustain the cordial relationship with their employers, stressing that efforts would be made by the new leadership to improve on welfare and working conditions of civil servants.
NAN reports that the NLC donated beverages, food items and drugs to inmates at the prisons and drugs to patients at the VVF centre and federal medical centre. (NAN)
