Nairobi -Kenya’s Harambee Starlets will leave nothing to chance when they face South Africa in a 2015 CAF Women Olympic Qualifying third-round, second-leg match in Machakos on Aug. 1, says coach David Ouma.
Ouma told PANA at a training session at the Nyayo National Stadium, Nairobi, that the senior women national team’s focus is on securing the Rio 2016 Olympic ticket and to enhance their chances of actualising the dream, they must beat South Africa in Machakos.
South Africa’s Banyana Banyana pipped Starlets 1-0 in the first-leg match in Johannesburg on July 18.
“We are focused on victory on Sunday and determined to cancel the one-goal deficit, we are studying the clips of our first-leg match and know which areas to improve upon,” he said.

Ouma, also a CAF coaching instructor, praised the team, noting that in spite of arriving in South Africa and playing on their arrival day, the team gave a good account of itself, despite going down 0-1.
He attributed their hiccups to visa hitches, which is now a thing of the past.
The winner of the return match between Kenya and South Africa will meet the winner of the match between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea in the fourth round in October.
The winner of the match between Cameroon and Ghana will meet Cote d’Ivoire. The two top teams in the fourth round will qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in Brazil.
Below are other third-round, first-leg results:-
Cameroon 1-1 Ghana
Cote d’Ivoire walks over Zimbabwe
Nigeria 1-1 Equatorial Guinea. (PANA/NAN)
