Mali are the latest team to be linked with coach Stephen Keshi after they fired Frenchman Henryk Kasperczak. Keshi, who handled Mali between 2008 and 2010, could well return to Mali, according to media reports out of Bamako. Kasperczak’s contract will not be renewed, according to FEMAFOOT.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
Several coaches have since applied for the top post including Keshi and Frenchmen Alain Giresse and Patrice Cateron, who handled the Eagles at the 2013 AFCON in South Africa. FEMAFOOT said they will announce a new coach on March 25, the day they will take on Gabon in a friendly in Beauvais in the Paris region.
In the meantime, Keshi’s representatives will meet with officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) tomorrow over a new contract proposed to the coach.
