ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, SAN; prominent Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo; United States-based businessman, Chief Ben Sonny Njiole-Akalefu and Abuja-based businessman and philanthropist, Chief Success Akagburuonye are among distinguished Nigerians expected to speak at the 2024 edition of the annual Bia Were Oji Uvuru festival.
Slated to hold on Thursday, 26 December at Oke-Ovoro Secondary School Playground, Uvuru, Mbaise, Imo State, Njiole-Akalefu is chairman of the occasion while Akagburuonye is the Chief Kolanut Taker.
Kanayo O Kanayo is to make a special guest appearance at the occasion.
Keyamo, Hon. Princewill Ugochukwu Amuchie, Minority Leader, Imo State House of Assembly and Hon. Iheukwumere Alaribe, Chairman, Aboh Mbaise Local Government, are special guests of honour.
Dr. Alexander Mbata, Chairman, AVM Global Group, is distinguished guest of honour.
Hon. Godfrey Dikeocha, former Commissioner for Local Government in Imo State, is executive host while the Traditional Ruler of Amaisii/Ndigbo Autonomous Community, Eze Uju Azorji is the chief host.
Dr Chimaroke Ben Nnaji, President-General of Uvuru Communities Development Union (UCDU), in a statement made available to Sundiata Post recently, said money realised from this year’s edition of the festival would be used to rebuild and modernise Uvuru Market.
Chairman of the occasion, Njiole-Akalefu, is a native of Eziala, Amaisii Amaisii/Ndigbo Autonomous community in Uvuru, Aboh Mbaise LGA of Imo State.
He is a businessman based in Michigan State, USA.
He is the CEO, Freight Link Systems llc., an industrial transportation company located in Detroit, the heart of the auto capital of the world.
According to a statement made available to Sundiata Post, he said “In continuation of my family legacy, I undertake a lot of assistance to families in distress including widows and indigent women. We offer financial assistance to college students on individual basis.
“I have not lacked behind in community projects and assistance to individuals including providing utilities such as water and electricity. All of these are done privately.”
Chief Obioma Success Akagburuonye, the Chief Kolanut Taker, is from the humble family of late Mazi Nehemiah Akagburuonye and Mrs. Nneoma Monica Nwafor Akagburuonye all of Ogbor Uvuru in Aboh Mbaise LGA, Imo State. He bagged his Bachelor of laws and Master’s Degree in Law from the Kogi State University, Anyigba, Kogi State and was called to the Nigerian Bar by the Council of Legal Education.
A practising lawyer, he is a household name in real estate development in Abuja.
He established Akaraugo Football Competition, which is a yearly event.
He founded the Bro Success Bible Quiz, Recitation and Choral Competition for Teenagers. Winners get scholarship for the next year in any institution of their choice.
He is the founder and National President, Global support for Nigeria, a relief centre for unemployed graduates in Nigeria.
