The abductors of retired General Maharazu Tsiga, a former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), have reportedly demanded a ransom of ₦250 million for his release.
A family source, who spoke anonymously, confirmed that the kidnappers had made contact with Tsiga’s relatives, instructing them to provide the demanded amount.
Tsiga was kidnapped from his residence at midnight on Wednesday, along with nine other individuals. Reports indicate that around 100 armed men stormed his home, forcefully taking him and the other victims.
According to sources, the gunmen began breaking down doors before Tsiga stepped out to ask them what they wanted. Shortly after, he was taken away alongside the others.
