Kogi gets new Accountant-General

LOKOJA – Gov. Idris Wada of Kogi State has approved the appointment of Mr Ibrahim Idakwo as the state’s new Accountant-General, a statement said.

The statement, which was issued by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Strategy, Mr Jacob Edi, in Lokoja on Thursday, said the appointment followed the removal of the former Accountant-General, Mr Paul Audu, by the governor.

Audu was removed on Wednesday.

The new accountant-general was until his appointment the Director of Non-Clinical Services, National Hospital, Garki, Abuja.

Idakwo had at various times worked with the defunct PHCN and the Presidency.

His appointment takes immediate effect. (NAN)
