ILORIN – The Kwara Government has paid N13.18 million to land owners in Ipetu in Irepodun Local [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]Government Area as compensation for acquiring their land.
The Director of Bureau of Lands, Mr AbdulWahab Babatunde, stated this on Thursday in Ilorin while [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]presenting cheques to the three beneficiaries.
Babatunde said that the land acquired by the state government for commercial and residential purposes would bring development to the community.
Represented by his deputy, Alhaji Ibrahim Salman, Babatunde urged the beneficiaries and
[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”8″]
[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]representatives of each family to ensure equitable distribution of the money.
He said this would ensure peace among the beneficiaries in the community.
Mr Joseph Akanji, who spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed satisfaction with the state government’s gesture. (NAN)
