ILORIN – Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State on Tuesday said his administration would collaborate with Gov. Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State on Primary Healthcare delivery.
Ahmed made this known when he received a delegation from Ogun led by the Commissioner for Health, Dr Ola-Ogun Soyinka, in his office.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the delegation was in Ilorin to understudy the Community Health Insurance Scheme in the state.
According to him, the collaboration will be in areas of exchange of health personnel in order to improve accessibility to health care at the grassroots. The governor said the programme would afford the two states to compare notes on health care delivery challenges and chart new ways of accessing funds.
Ahmed said that the Community Health Insurance Scheme had made it possible for the grassroots to access health care services with ease.
Earlier, leader of the delegation, Soyinka told the governor that Ogun government launched Community Health Insurance Scheme in April.
