Umuahia- The Technical Adviser of Kwara United FC, Tunde Abdulrahman, says the club will now hire daring strikers and good wingers to reinforce the team for better performance this season.
Abdulrahman told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Umuahia that the club needed good strikers and wingers urgently.
He said such players would help to take care of the deficiencies he had noted in the team’s play in the attack and on the wings.
“We need to go for good finishers. So, we need to hire good strikers and wingers because this is the area we have problem in,’’ the coach said.
He spoke at the end of Sunday’s week eight Globacom Premier League match between his club and Abia Warriors FC in Umuahia.
Abdulrahman also commended the standard of officiating of the match and expressed the hope that the standard would be sustained in other matches to strengthen the local league.

He blamed his team’s 0-2 loss on poor goalkeeping and defensive mistakes.
Also, while speaking on Abia Warriors’ victory, the club’s Assistant Coach, Chijioke Osuagwu, expressed joy that he was able to deliver in the absence of club Chief Coach Ladan Bosso.
Osuagwu dedicated the victory to the memory of Bosso’s wife, who died recently.
He spoke of the club’s expectations in upcoming Sunday’s home match against Kano Pillars FC, saying “with the help of God and hard work, we hope to come out victorious’’.
NAN reports that Abia Warriors’ goals against Kwara United were scored by Ifeanyi Onyeali and Chisom Chikatara in the 15th and 58th minutes respectively.
