Abuja- Kwara United Football Club of Ilorin have parted ways with their Technical Adviser, Samson Unuanel, and other members of their technical crew, according to a statement by the club.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that this development has come less than a month after the club made a return to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
The club management also announced that the disengagement affected the team’s other technical members, including Chief Coach Ali Zubair.
The rest are Assistant Coach Jimoh Balogun, Fitness Coach Rasheed Badmus, Goalkeeper Trainer Tunji Shuaibu and Welfare Officer Dele Abubakar.
The statement further said the disengaged coaches were free to indicate their interest in returning through fresh applications into various vacant technical crew positions.
“We have asked all technical crew members to go, but they have the opportunity to re-apply if interested.
“They have been asked to go and to re-apply if they are still interested, since what was on ground was that they signed contracts for one season which has now ended.

“However, we thank them for their service, sacrifice and support when in charge.
“But we really need to restructure the technical department to avoid the kind of ugly incidences witnessed last season.
“We had many shortcomings, and we need to correct that. We need a more vibrant and disciplined technical department,’’ Maigidansama was quoted as saying in the statement.
Speaking on the matter, the club’s Media Officer, Yinka Owolewa, said the development was not a major issue but rather a routine exercise.
“It is a normal exercise that was expected because the affected coaches and other officials were well aware that they had one-year contracts,’’ he said.
In another development, the club management also announced that their players would on Jan. 12 resume training ahead of the 2014/2015 NPFL season.
