Lagos- Chief Henry Ajomale, Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Sunday hailed the conduct of the party’s House of Representatives primary elections in the state.
Ajomale spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) at the party secretariat in Acme, Lagos.
He, however, said that there were ‘skirmishes’ in Ojo and Kosofe Local Government Areas of the state.
“Everything went well according to plan but there were skirmishes in about about two places.
“I understand that this happened in Ojo and Kosofe but they have resolved the one in Ojo, I am sure the problem in Kosofe will be resolved too.
“Some people tried to disrupt the primaries; they felt they were not carried along during the ward congress.
“But that is not a problem, it will be resolved,” he said.
Ajomale also assured delegates that the senatorial primaries and the national convention of the party would be peaceful.
“I don’t expect anything less, it has to be peaceful, contrary to the opinion of some people,” he said.
NAN reports that the house of representatives primaries took place in 20 local government areas of the state.(NAN)
