LAGOS – A 28-year-old man, Valentine Okoroafor, was on Wednesday in Lagos sentenced to nine months imprisonment for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.
An Ojo Magistrates’ Court which handed down the verdict said the convict should serve the prison term with hard labour.
“The accused is guilty as charged and is sentenced to nine months imprisonment with hard labour,’’ Magistrate Taslimi Shomade, said. [eap_ad_2] The accused, who resides at Shibiri area of Ojo on Lagos-Badagry Expressway, had pleaded guilty to the charge of putting his fingers in the girl’s private part.
Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Godwin Eze, told the court that the accused had on Oct. 5 at 8.00 p.m. thrusted his fingers into the private part of an 11-year-old girl.
