Lagos Govt. cancels Independence Day Parade

Lagos  – has cancelled planned Nigeria 60th Independence Day Parade due to pandemic.

Gov. gave directive a statement signed by ’s Commissioner Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso Lagos Wednesday.

Sanwo-Olu said that the parade and other activities that involved the gathering more than 50 people had been cancelled.

He said that the has opted for a celebration the anniversary because the pandemic.

The governor congratulated residents of the the auspicious occasion and strongly advised that they should celebrate quietly at home and pray for the country.

Sanwo-Olu advised them not to relax vigilance against COVID-19, so as not to reverse the gains made the fight against the disease.
