Lagos- The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on Wednesday said that Mr Cyril Akhanemhe, the new Lagos State Coordinator of the scheme, had assumed office.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mrs Belida Faniyi, Director, Public Relations Unit, NYSC, Lagos.
According to the statement, the baton of leadership in NYSC Lagos State changed hands with the movement of the erstwhile Coordinator, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi.

The statement said that Akhanemhe, who assumed duty on Jan. 5 as the state coordinator, was until his deployment the state coordinator of the scheme in Imo.
It quoted him as saying at the handing-over ceremony that he was highly honoured to be deployed to Lagos.
According to the statement, he appealed for support from members of staff, stakeholders and the Lagos State Government, to take the scheme to greater heights.
It quoted him as lauding the achievements of the immediate past coordinator in the state. (NAN)
