Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has berated rising singer, Ayo Maff over “indecent” lyrics in his new song ‘Last Week.’
In the opening verse, the singer bragged about using Canadian Loud, an imported strong synthetic strain of cannabis, on the first day of the week and contacting his dealer that he had run out of the substance on Saturday.
Reacting to a viral snippet of the song on X, SP Hundeyin expressed worry about the lyrics.
He stated that half of the youths in prison wouldn’t be there if they didn’t indulge in drug abuse.
He noted that illicit drug is a precursor for crime.
The PPRO wrote, “He does what on Mondays and Saturdays? Help me listen.
“Like Asa said, there is fire on the mountain and nobody seems to be on the run…
“Fact: Half of the young ones in prison today wouldn’t be there if they didn’t do drugs. Drugs is a precursor to everything bad.
“Eni a wi fun…”
