Lagos State PDP governorship candidate urges electorate to vote credible leaders

Lagos- Mr Jimi Agbaje, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate for Lagos State on Sunday urged the electorate to vote for only credible leaders in the Feb. 14 and Feb. 28 elections.

Agbaje made the remark at the PDP’s Thanksgiving Service at St. Paul’s Church (Anglican Communion) at Kirikiri, Apapa, in Lagos.

He said that when the right persons were voted into Office, there would be positive changes in the country.

“God works in mysterious ways. In 2011, I was not allowed to pick the ticket, but in 2015, we are running and we have every hope that our time has come.

“There will be peaceful co-existence if we work together as indigenes and non-indigenes of the state because united we stand and divided we fall.

“My wish is that in Lagos State, children in Public Schools will do better than children in private schools.

“`It is the responsibility of the government to provide adequate housing and a good road network for its citizens; that is what I will focus on when I am voted in,’’ he said.

Also speaking, the Vicar and Archdeacon of the church, Ven. Levi Opara, prayed that there should be peace in the country during and after the elections.

“2015 will be the best year. God will not disappoint Nigerians if we relate with Him as He will make 2015 to be successful.

“The agenda of the enemies will not prevail in this country,’’ he added.

The service was attended by many dignitaries, including Chief Olabode George, a former Deputy National Chairman of the party, as well as its Lagos State Chairman, Chief Tunde Shelle.

The Presidential election is scheduled to hold on Feb. 14, while the Gubernatorial elections will take place on Feb. 28. (NAN)
