Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has said that the state is yet to receive the N200 million financial support pledged by the federal government to fight the deadly Ebola Virus Disease.
Speaking in an interview with newsmen, the governor said the assistance would go a long way in containing spread of the disease but noted that there could perhaps be more paper works before the release. He said while the state government is preparing for the worst and hoping for the best in containing the virus, it is still reminding the people that contact with the virus is not a death sentence and that increased personal hygiene such as washing of hands regularly with soap and water is essential.
