On Friday, Krane took to X to announce the release of his new EP, encouraging fans to listen to the project and advising them to “ignore the opposition.”
“MOTION #IgnoreThe0PPS. Please keep supporting the new music family,” he wrote.
“5IVE by DAMMY KRANE is out now. #ListenToGoodMUSIC.”
The EP features tracks such as ‘More Money No Problem,’ ‘Allegedly (Ganusi),’ ‘Egunpiano (Wanyinna),’ ‘Fall In Love,’ and ‘Ohema.’
He collaborated with Nigerian singer Babyboy Av, Jamaican artist Demarco, and Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy on the project.
The release comes amid an ongoing feud between Krane and fellow artist Davido, whose album, also titled 5ive, dropped on the same day.
The rivalry started in October 2023 when Krane took to social media to accuse Davido of owing him for his songwriting contributions.
Krane further claimed that the ‘Assurance’ hitmaker played a role in sabotaging his record deal with Sony Music.
The singer also alleged that Davido was connected to the death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike.
Tagbo passed away in October 2017, reportedly from alcohol poisoning.
Davido threatened to take legal action against Krane for “defamation of character and cyberbullying.”
In August 2024, Krane claimed that Davido was behind his arrest. He was released after being held for nearly a week at the Criminal Investigation Department (FCID).
