Abuja (Sundiata Post) -The Lagos Trade Fair Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Barr. Vera Ndanusa, has appealed to occupants and business owners within the Complex not to carry out any form of protest within the premises, saying that the Complex has been repositioned to address the needs of its occupants.

Ndanusa urged occupants to ignore the call for a national protest, adding that the Management Board is trying to prevent the Kenya experience which has caused ruination to the struggling economy of the country.

She noted that Nigeria cannot afford a crippling crisis of carnage and rage, not now and not ever.

Speaking in a statement sent to our correspondent on Tuesday, Ndanusa said while she acknowledged  the realities of economic challenges and hunger in the land, the Management however believes that President Bola Tinubu is working round the clock to address the issues.

According to her: “As Management, we are responsible for the well-being of millions of traders and the protection of your investments.

“To this end, we have recently established a Task Force Committee dedicated to upholding the well-being of our community.

“We have become aware of discussions regarding potential protests and activities that could disrupt the peace and stability within our country and the complex.

“While we understand the hardships faced by many, we are confident that President Tinubu will take all necessary measures to alleviate the challenges.

“We want to make it unequivocally clear that the Board will not tolerate any form of protest or actions that threaten to disrupt law and order within the Trade Fair Complex.

“The complex houses government properties and the investments of millions of traders and hardworking individuals.

“Any actions that violate the peace of our environment will be addressed promptly and in accordance with the law”, the statement reads.
