Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association, Lagos Trade Fair Complex, has congratulated the Executive Director (ED), and Chief Executive Officer, Lagos International Trade Fair Complex. Barr. Vera Ndanusa on her one year in office.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu, had on October 14, 2023, appointed Ndanusa as the ED of the Complex, charging her to drive the mantra of the government (Renewed Hope Agenda), to be evident in her new portfolio.
Running with the mantra, Ndanusa had in one year performed what the occupants of the Complex will call magic, as she has surpassed expectations, turning around the blockages that has hampered growth in Nigeria’s commercial market hub (The Trade Fair Complex).
Our correspondent had reported that the power outage which the Complex has suffered for over one year was restored in a matter of months upon resuming office.
The biggest landslide victory was the return of the Trade Fair exhibition in the Complex after over a decade of stoppage. The Trade Fair was before now being hosted at the Tafawa Balewa Square instead of the Fair Complex at Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
The return will among many other commercial incentives boost economic activities especially for occupants of the Complex as they will build more contacts and have the unique opportunity of showcasing their brands to a larger audience, during the duration of the Fair.
However, in a congratulatory message to Ndanusa, the Spare Part Dealers known as (Aspamda), lauded the Trade Fair boss for her doggedness and determined efforts to see that things fall in place.
The message signed by the President Hon. Ngozi Emechebe and the Secretary, Juventus U.Okpala-Ohaba, recognised that Ndanusa”s strides have yielded remarkable achievements.
According to the duo: “Your achievements include enhanced security measures to ensure a safer business environment for all traders. Improved infrastructure developments to facilitate easier access and operations within the complex.
“Effective dispute resolution mechanisms aimed at promoting harmony among traders. Increased support for SMEs to foster growth and development.
“Collaborative efforts with associations to Strengthen stakeholder’s engagement. Successfully hosted the Senate and House of Representatives Committee on Trade and Commerce to secure a promise for the 5km road to be included in the next year’s federal budget.
“Gaining approval from the Senate and House Committees for the construction of the continuation of 2n Avenue from Alakija to St. Joseph Road, Abule-Ado.
“Returning the trade exhibition to the Trade Fair Complex, scheduled from 15 to 25 of November 2024”, the statement reads.
