Abuja   –      The police on Thursday arraigned a 41-year-old landlord, Hygenius Owawa, in a Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, on a count-charge of mischief.

Owawa of Angwan Shehu Karmo village, Abuja, however, denied committing the alleged theft.

The prosecuting counsel, Mrs Ukagha Ijeoma, told the court that the matter was reported by one Fabian Ikeh of Angwan Shehu village Karmo, Abuja, at Karmo Police Station on Oct.9.

Ijeoma said that on the same date, at about 9:p.m. Owawa criminally, intentionally without provocation, bang the complainant’s room door and forced it open, and in the process, the door was damaged.

The prosecutor said that Owawa could not give satisfactory account of his actions during police investigation.

Ijeoma said that the offences contravened the provisions of Section 327 of the Penal Code.

The judge, Alhaji Inuwa Maiwada, however, adjourned the case until Nov. 5, for the defendant and the nominal complainant to settle, or commence hearing.
