Lagos – The Lagos State University (LASU) has identified the need to urgently check deficit of research capacity in universities to improve quality of education in Nigeria.
Sylvester Odion-Akhaine, Associate Professor and Acting Head, Department of Political Science in LASU, made the observation in a statement.
He said that reversal of the trend would bridge quality assurance gaps and curricula dysfunction in universities.
Odion-Akhaine said that LASU, known for its series of inaugural lectures, would hold a three-day National Workshop on Grant-writing and Administration from Feb. 12 to Feb. 14 to check research deficit.
