LAGOS – Authorities of the Lagos State University (LASU) on Tuesday directed staff who abandoned or parked official vehicles allocated to them at different mechanic workshop to return them to the

appropriate department.
The authorities gave the warning in an official bulletin, a copy of which was given to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
LASU authorities said it was disappointed that some official vehicles were abandoned at different mechanic workshops across Lagos State.
It said the university authorities had not received any official correspondence on the state of the abandoned vehicles from their allocated users.
The authorities charged all the concerned staff to ensure that the vehicles are removed from the abandoned spots and taken to the Works and Physical Planning Department.
“Consequently, the authorities directed that all staff who parked or abandoned official vehicles allocated to them at any location within or outside the campus should formally inform the Director, Works and Physical Planning Department,” it said.
The bulletin said the authorities would not hesitate to take disciplinary actions against defaulters of the directive soon. (NAN)
