Abuja (Sundiata Post) – One year after Selimatu Idowu, the NTA staff who was crushed to death by the Kaduna -Abuja moving Train, the Federal lawmaker that represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th Senate, Senator Shehu Sani has charged the federal government to fulfil the promise of building a bridge across the rail in Kubwa community where the incidence occured.
Sundiata Post recalls that a Kaduna-bound train crushed Selimota to death, in her car, at the Chikakore axis of Kubwa in Abuja.
Until her death, late Selimota was a Principal Accountant with the Finance Department with NTA. She was said to be on her way to the office when she met her untimely death.
An eye witness said that the incident occurred about five minutes to the Kubwa Train Station, while Selimota, who was driving in her private vehicle attempted to cross the rail line as the Abuja-Kaduna train was coming on high speed.
Shehu Sani who made the call via his X (formerly twitter) account said:
“Selimatu Idowu; the NTA staff who was crushed to death by the Kaduna Abuja moving Train, One year remembrance. An appeal to the FG to fulfil the promise of building a bridge across the rail in the Abuja community, scene of the incident. May her soul rest in peace. Amin.”
