BIRNIN KEBBI – Rep. Garba Gulma (PDP-Kebbi State) says he has earmarked N196 million to promote the health sector in his constituency.
Gulma told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday that he had presented his nominatin form to the PDP state office, to enable him to re-contest the seat in 2015.
He said provision of the constituency projects was part of his long term plan to develop the area.
He said the amount would be spent to construct two rural health centers in Gotomo, Lailaba in Argungu Local Government Area while two others would be sited in Birnin Tudu and Bayawa in Augie Local Government Area.
He said N160 million would be spent on the provision of the four rural health centres while four ambulances for the centres had been procured at N8 million each.
“The centres would be provided with adequate drugs and modern medical facilities,” he said.
Gulma, who had served at the National Assembly for eight years, said he had invested resources for the improvement of the living conditions of the people in his constituency.
He said that boreholes and hand pumps were provided in remote areas of the constituency .
He called on the people to consider merit and performance before electing their representatives in 2015.(NAN)
