The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the competition was held from Oct. 30 to Oct. 31 at the sports ground of Paul University, Awka.

Obasi told NAN that the league afforded the participants the opportunity to hone and display their skills effectively.

He attributed the success of the league to relentless effort of the committee’s notable individuals in the state and the Nigeria Cricket Federation.

“The league was born out of the need to provide a platform for all cricketers in the state to blend and discover new talents that will represent the state and the country at competitions.

“We had challenges during the league but the committee was able to organise the league with the support from various quarters.

“We are grateful to everybody that supported us in our mission and we look forward for more support to take cricket back to the top in Anambra,’’ he said.
