
OSOGBO- The League of Veteran Journalists in Osun has elected a six-man executive to steer its activities for the next three years.
The is contained in a statement issued by the new Secretary of the league, Mr Olatunji Idowu, on Thursday in Osogbo.
Idowu said that the newly-elected officials would would showcase inclusiveness, direction and accountability.
He said that the new executives led by Mr Smollette Shittu-Alamu would not deviate from the agenda-setting responsibility of journalists.
Idowu said that the new executives also included Mrs Dunmade Durojaiye, Treasurer; and Messrs Osu Babarinde and Samuel Adeyekun, Financial Secretary and Welfare Officer, respectively.
He added that Mr Sanya Fadipe was elected the league’s spokesperson.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Shittu-Alamu was the spokesperson for the league before his election as the Chairman. (NAN)
