Legal Aid Council receives 36 cases in 3 months in Kano

Kano – The Legal Aid Council (LAC) in Kano State says has received 36 cases from members of the public from January to March, this year.

The State Coordinator of the council, Alhaji Abubakar Umar, said this in an the News Agency of (NAN) in Kano .

Umar said of the of cases filed by aggrieved persons before the council, 25 were criminal cases while the remaining 11 were civil cases.

He said the council had disposed 11 of the of cases within the period .

Umar also disclosed the council had introduced a new client comment card known as (Initial Visitors) as part of efforts to enhance its operations.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]

“When complainants come to the office, we listen to them and give them the Client Comment Form to fill and send to head office monthly.

“This is to enhance activities and feedback what we are doing,’’ the coordinator said.

He said most of the civil cases were based inheritance, marriage, debt and land disputes. (NAN)
