Abuja – A member of Niger State House of Assembly, Mr Danladi Iyah, on Monday commiserated with the state government over the death of former Gov. Abdulkadir Kure.
Iyah, representing Tafa state constituency, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in a telephone interview that the state had lost a great son.
He said that the deceased was a man of his words and would be remembered for the peace he promoted.
“Honestly, the former governor’s death is a great loss to the entire state because he was a man of his words.
“He will be remembered forever, ” Iyah said.
Late Kure was governor of Niger from May 29, 1999 to May 29, 2007.
Born Feb. 26, 1056, the former governor and engineer, died in a German hospital on Sunday.
