Yola – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa has lauded party members for observing a hitch free party primaries to elect candidates who will represent the party in June 25 council poll.
The state Acting Chairman of the party, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, made the commendation after observing the primaries in Yola South and Yola North Local Governments in Yola on Saturday.
Bilal said reports reaching him from other local government areas of the state showed that the primaries were peaceful and orderly.
“I want to commend members of our great party for their show of maturity and to urge the aspirants to accept the outcome in good faith,’’ he said.
The chairman said that this was necessary “so that we can work together for the main election which I am sure our party will sweep the vote’’.
Also, the winner of Yola South Local Government primaries, Alhaji Abubakar Dauda, hailed of the primaries.
Dauda urged his opponents to join hands with him to ensure the party’s victory in the June 25 election.
He described his victory as an act of God, and promised that he would render selfless service and carry everyone along if elected. (NAN)
