ABUJA – Magaji Boys FC on Thursday in Abuja progressed to the next stage of the ongoing 2014 FCT League at the expense of Jadin FC.
Magaji secured the maximum three points and three goals after Jadin FC failed to turn up for their encounter.
The officiating referees, therefore, declared the match a walkover after 15 minutes into the regulation time before he applied the necessary rule.
The encounter was scheduled to start at 4 p.m. at the Area 3 sports centre.
Abdulrasheed Shehu, head coach of Magaji Boys, said he was happy that the team had secured another three points in the league. [eap_ad_1] “I am happy that we have three points without stress. This is six points now because we have won our first match against Gwarimpa United.
“I also believe in the strength of my team. I am sure that we will reach the final stage of the competition, ‘’ he said.
In the other match of the day, Gwarimpa United defeated Young Stars by a lone own goal.
Young Stars’s defender Emmnauel Ajah, unfortunately gave his opponents the lead when he scored against his team in the 42nd minute.
