MAIDUGURI – The Borno on Tuesday appealed to residents the state to intensify prayers for a divine intervention in the prevailing Haram insurgency in the area.
Alhaji Mustapha Zannah, the Deputy , made the call while inaugurating the newly-elected local officials the All Progressives Congress () in Maiduguri.
Zannah said the residents be persistent in prayers for God’s intervention in the problem.
“We have been praying to seek divine intervention in the Haram insurgency.
“We want to appeal to residents to keep prayer vigil at night across the state to further seek God’s intervention for the in the state,” he said.
Zannah also urged residents to pray for the safe of the abducted 230 students of the (GGSS), .
He urged the newly-elected party officials to fear God in carrying out their duties.
Also speaking, the Borno Chairman, Alhaji Ali Dalori, advised the officials to ensure fairness in running the affairs of the party.(NAN)
