Makinde can’t claim to be my leader, says Fayose

Former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose on Sunday said Governor Seyi Makinde cannot claim to be Southwest Peoples (PDP).

He admitted although party’s structure made him a , it be wrong for governor to come to say he is (Fayose’s) .

Fayose, who spoke on a television programme, said he was once a similar position like Makinde, but he (Fayose) never said he was the leader.

On herdsmen/farmers’ clash the Southwest, the former Ekiti State governor appealed to Nigerians, irrespective tribe, to see themselves as one.

He described Sunday Adeyemo (aka Igboho’s) emergence as the product circumstance, hence he should not be ignored.

On PDP members defecting to the All (APC), Fayose said covetousness led anyone defecting to take such action.

“Those who left PDP for APC, apology to Omisore (Iyiola), what have they brought back?” he asked.
