Persons (IDPs) in the state.
Speaking at the presentation of the materials in Lafia, Maku said the donation was his contribution to [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]efforts aimed at cushioning the hardship being experienced by the displaced persons.
Represented at the occasion by his Personal Assistant, Mr Aminu Attah, the former minister said he would ensure that all IDPs in the state benefitted in the exercise.
“This exercise we have commenced here today will be extended to all persons displaced as a result of [pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]crisis in our state,’’ he said.
He, however, advised beneficiaries to refrain from resorting to self help in seeking redress.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
“You should all use your voting power to vote out the APC government for failing to protect you and your villages, “ he said.
The items for distribution to the 15,000 IDPs in Lafia, he said, included 300 bags of maize, 300 bags of rice, magi, palm oil, detergent and beans.
He urged the committee in charge of IDPs to ensure the items reached those concerned while promising to continue rendering assistance.
Maku promised that if elected governor of the state in February, he would present a new agenda of peace, unity and justice where all citizens and visitors would live in harmony.
Collecting the items on behalf of the committee, Daniel Anyuabaga, the National President of Eggon Youths Movement (EYM), thanked the APGA candidate for the gesture and promised to distribute them equitably.
He called on government at all levels to beef up security in crisis-ridden areas of the state. (NAN)
