Kuala Lumpur – A Malaysian air force trainer aircraft on Tuesday crashed in a paddy field, injuring one of the crew, a military statement said.
The Italian-made Aermacchi MB339CM plane was on a training flight when it encountered technical difficulties near Pekan town in the state of Pahang, about 190 kilometres north-east of Kuala Lumpur, the statement said.
The two pilots aboard the aircraft were able to eject before it crashed in the village of Nenasi. One sustained a broken leg, it added.
