LAGOS – A 22-year-old who allegedly broke into a shop and stole N317, 500 worth phones and accessories, on Friday brought before an Ojokoro Magistrates’ Court  Lagos.

The defendant, David Olem,   fixed address, is facing a -count charge burglary and theft.

The , Insp Lugard Ahonle, told the court that Olem committed the offences on June 6, at . 31, Jonathan Coker St, Fagba, Iju-Ishaga, Lagos at 12:45 a.m.

“Olem and others at large broke into Idowu ’s shop and stole moblie phones and accessories valued at N317, 500.

“Olem however, apprehended by the men whom had been on trail, while others escaped,” he said.

The alleged offences, according to him, contravened Sections 285 and 307 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The accused pleaded not guilty when the charge read to him.

The presiding Magistrate, Mrs O.A Layinka, subsequently granted the defendant the sum of N100, 000 with surety like sum.

She adjourned the case till Aug. 7, for mention. (NAN)
